Carterwill Search is recruiting for a national law firm (with multiple locations across the US) to identify a Commercial Litigation Associate which is committed to hiring, developing, and promoting talented lawyers with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
- Commercial Litigation Associate with three to five years of experience preferred.
- An active Florida bar license is required, and candidates must currently practice in Florida. Experience with all phases of complex commercial litigation including, but not limited to, experience conducting factual investigations and discovery, preparing pleadings, taking depositions, arguing motions, participating in mediation, and communicating with clients.
- Experience in both state and federal court is preferred, and experience in administrative matters and arbitrations is beneficial.
- Second-chair experience at trial or arbitration is preferred but not required.
- The ideal candidate will have some exposure to construction litigation.
The ideal candidate should have excellent academic credentials, superior interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated record of working well under pressure. The candidate should:
- Demonstrate exceptional judgment,
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects,
- Ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action.
