Carterwill Search is recruiting for a Tax Accountant to join an extremely stable privately-held CPA firm that specializes in Family Office for high networth individuals. Office is located in Pinellas County.

Ideal candidate is a CPA with public accounting experience.
  • 2+ years is great.
  • 10+ years is also great.
  • Our client will pay commensurate with experience.  

Position Summary: Tax Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the tax function of our family office. This individual will be responsible for preparing and reviewing high net worth individual income tax returns and trust income tax returns. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for high net worth individuals and trusts.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax estimates and extensions.
  • Conduct tax research and stay updated on current tax laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Tax Accountant to develop and implement tax planning strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Respond to tax notices and inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Maintain accurate and organized tax records and documentation.
  • Assist with other tax-related projects and tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on high net worth individuals and trusts.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
